What Do You Need To Know Before Attending CK First Aid’s Allens Training Courses?
First aid and CPR are skills that may see you saving a life. That’s why it’s so crucial that you learn from the very best programs available. At CK First Aid, our courses are designed by Allen’s Training, one of the premier providers of first aid and CPR training courses in Australia. Each course is created to closely adhere to the strict requirements and guidelines of the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) and the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTO), so you can rest assured you’re getting the best quality training. Here are a few things you should know before attending one of these courses at CK First Aid.

Which Allen’s Training Course Should You Choose?
To pick the best course for you, there are a couple of questions you can ask yourself that will help you make a choice.
- Do you need CPR, first aid, or both? At CK First Aid, we have Allen’s Training CPR course offered individually or a first aid course that combines the two. If you already have a valid first aid certificate, you may just need a refresher CPR course, so you have the option to do just that.
- Which industry are you working within? If you’re working in a corporate environment, you may just need Allen’s Training first aid and CPR course (HLTAID003 – Provide First Aid with CPR). However, if you are working in the education and care sector; suppose you work with children regularly. In that case, you may need to undertake HLTAID004 – Provide Emergency First Aid For Education & Care with CPR, or you may need additional skills training in asthma and anaphylaxis.
- Are you interested in expanding the scope of your first aid training? CK First Aid is fortunate enough to have access to a range of Allen’s Training first aid programs through the training desk. We offer extra courses such as Assist Clients with Medications.
- This includes unique first aid courses that provide people with comprehensive skills to handle any emergency. At CK First Aid, we’re proud to offer mental health first aid to help people respond to and support a person suffering a mental health crisis.
Our mental health firs aid is NOT offered through Allen’s Training but through Mental Health First Aid Australia!

A Couple Of Things To Do Before Attending A CK First Aid Course
Like all good learning programs, there’s a little bit of homework for you to do before you attend. Here’s everything you need before coming in for your first aid course.
- Read the materials. Upon enrollment, we’ll send you some reading materials you’ll need to look over before the course. It includes crucial information about the procedures we teach in the session, so make sure you understand the materials. Don’t stress, though; we don’t expect you to memorise everything. Just come in with an understanding of the reading material.
- Complete any online assessments. Some of our courses ask you to complete an online assessment before attending. This is to ensure you understand enough of the reading material to practice first aid.
- Dress appropriately. Some demonstrations and practice will require you to move and get on the floor, so dress in comfortable clothing.
- Get your supplies together. During your first aid course, we will cover a lot of content, so there are a few things to bring for the day. You’ll want a notebook, a pen, a water bottle, and some lunch or snacks for your break. The courses we now offer are enhanced online learning – maximum 1.5 hours face to face! No notebook pen etc required!
